DAY 1: GROWLIE
"Not good enough!!" A powerful yell in response to latest actions done by an exhausted Pokemon. The mighty voice echoed through the mostly empty room as hidden in between were the tired panting sounds of a creature, huffing and gasping for air. How long has it been since they started this routine? "Haa... Haa..! Ack!... Again... Please!!" But the Growlithe was not planning on giving up just because he was tired, or because his trainer wasn't satisfied with the results. No, that simply meant he had to work even harder so he could grow strong and become a good vassal for the breeder. But when the awkward redhead only entered the lab, none of the Pokemon at the time would have suspected he had such intense training methods for his Pokemon. Where did he even learn this anyway?
Kouki's eyebrow twitched. He was getting quite sick of this too; his Growlithe was just simply not in the right level to go through this kind of training, even if Kouki did go easy on the intensity. After all, for a low-level Pokemon like a mere starter, it's probably too much. But he still insisted on going... Brave, he certainly was. "... If this is too much for you, we can stop now. In your condition, it must be--" "Please!! One more time!!" Indeed, Growlie did not enjoy pain. His legs felt like they could give in any second now, and his sides hurt already from running around so much. He even felt a little dizzy, on top of his sore body aching with every breath. He was hit too much. But as a man, Growlie decided to see to it that this session would end successfully. In response, the redhead smiled. Quite the partner, he had there.
It started with the same, throwing rock-hard Brock's at the Growlithe and causing him to just dodge. Growlie had seen the full movement of his master's body countless times in this session alone, and thus, predicting where anything would come from or telling the force of the throw was easy. But, the idea was not to raise the Fire-type's perception, reflexes or overall dodging ability; it was plainly used to tire his body out, which worked like a charm. Soon enough, Growlie's breathing turned heavier and his movement decreased, almost like he was dragged by his own feet. That was Kouki's cue, closing in on his Pokemon and entering close combat. With how tired Growlie was, it was a given that within seconds, he was hit again by Kouki's powerful blows, skidding on the floor back through the force. Another failure. But...
"Argh...! No! Again!! One more time!!" Such resolution, he had. It was amazing he even remained conscious.
