Standing a little over five feet two inches and weighing a collective one hundred and ten pounds Lenora may not be the smallest person in the world but is the shortest person in her home. With her mother towering over her by a good six inches and her father a whole foot it's shocking to imagine she is even their daughter. But what she lacks in similar height and personality her other physical traits shine bright in resemblance to her parents. Long strands of light brown hair fall from her head and down to her hips, curling to random places at its ends- this was all her fathers genetics, from the thickness of each strand to the hue it shimmers with. Her eyes and complexion came from her mouth. Wide hazel eyes peer up at everything and everyone under long lashes, peachy skin lacking any hints of sunlight popping out from under the various clothes she wears. The only color that clashes against her pale skin is that of the blushing that usually coats her cheeks, rosy and bright- a more noticeable shade than Nora would like -that seems to linger forever after the initial reaction. Her clothing style is nothing extravagant or flashy; wishing to stay out of limelight as much as possible Lenora's clothing reflect her shut in nature. Clothing of dull colors, monotones and simple with little to no patterns drape over her small body in the most comfortable way possible; everything isn't too big for her nor to clingy to whatever figure she may or may not have. To her clothing is nothing special and thus she doesn't spend much time trying to figure out how to mix and match what she has to form pretty outfits or compliment their lackluster colors.
Nora was never like her parents when they were children, the exact opposite to them during their youth despite their blood connection. While her parents were those social butterflies who knew everyone and viceversa Lenora Williams grew up to be an anti-social mess of a girl who preferred to stay at home rather than be out with others her age. Despite her age and blossoming into an adult Nora has kept herself hidden from the world within her parents home, locked away inside her room to spend the hours by herself like she enjoys- due to this her lack of social interaction has left her clueless to the normality that comes with being outside and living life. Speaking up to someone even to simply buy a cup of coffee is the equivalent to running a mile for her, leaving her a mess of anxiety where she stands before either running away or getting some help from someone else. Her sanctuary has become her downfall in many ways, her anti-social nature and mindset developing her personality into one that makes her self concision of who she is. She's a smart girl and thus realizes her faults possibly more so than necessary, leaving her a mess on the inside and strengthening her need to run and hide. Despite all this, every negative trait that has attached itself to Nora, she is one of the kindest girls one could meet. Naive as they come in the ways of people and their manipulative nature Nora wears her heart on her sleeve, giving more of herself to those she believes to kind- which, for her, can be basically anyone. There has always been that small part of Lenora that dreams about the day she will be normal, to be able to speak to people and live life like so many others around her. However that dream is covered by her thousands of anxieties, ever growing and tangling around the small spark that has magically stayed lit though the twenty years of her life.
Nora's childhood was nothing special, an ordinary life and home- a place blended in with the other houses that lined the sea front city in the region. Her parents were special in their own ways, holding jobs that weren't as glamorous as many other children but never once complaining on the normality of their situation. The Williams marriage was nothing but stabled, built on all the faults and love a good relationship collects over years- they had spent ten years of their life together alone before having their little bundle of joy. While the date would forever be remembered by the little girls birthday the weather and events circling around the actual birth has long since been forgotten by her mother, the details of the day forever changing each time Lenora questions it.
Even as a child Lenora wasn't as social as the other little girls and boys in her school or neighborhood; the young girl would choose staying in the classroom to wait for breaks to be over, sit under a tree with a book or stay indoors with her folks rather than place outside. As a child these quirks were 'cute' in the eyes of her parents, a sigh of a relief if anything to know where their beloved was every second of the day. Nora never gave her parents the panic and scares many other children did, she never ran away from home or acted out- the girl was the prize baby any parent could hope for. She listened, followed and obeyed what her parents asked of her with little to no questions involved; all she wanted in return was to be home, to relax by herself or with the mother and father who gladly accepted her full attention.
As a teenager Lenora was the same, her anti-social habits only worsening yet still overlooked by her parents as nothing more than a blessing. It wasn't until her late teens that her mother and father became worried of their daughters introverted social life, and when she reacted nineteen her parents had finally realized they needed to step in to help. At first it was a mix of questions, inquires of why she was like this and before long those questions turned to more forceful actions to try and get their daughter out of the house. While many of the attempts were unorthodox and failed after the first few minutes it wasn't until they had sought help from a councilor to come up with their next plan to push Lenora into growing up.
It wouldn't be wrong to wonder why someone like Lenora Williams would be out of her house let alone in a new region altogether- in truth the girl wonders that herself within every second she realizes she's not in the sanctuary of her room. If it had been up to Nora her life would have stayed in that solitude she loved so dearly, living her days away from people the best she could, but alas her parents had had enough of her 'shenanigans'. Three months after her birthday Lenora had been given a "late gift" as they called it, a ticket to a region far from the one she grew up in and a cellphone. With these items in hand her parents told her she'd have one month to prepare her leave before going off to this new region to do what many children her age and younger did: live. At this new region they'd hope their daughter could find the bond and path to grow as they did long before, and if she really couldn't handle it or was ever in more trouble than she could handle the cellphone would be able to use to phone home.
She doesn't like the idea- her heart racing as she arrived with the phone clasped in her left hand and a wrinkled ticket protruding out of her pocket. She's not going to make it here.
