and having ears and a tail that are not so easily concealed doesn’t help
with her self confidence in the slightest. People stare wherever she goes and
those stares burn into her, making her skin feel as if it’s on fire. She tries her
hardest to hide her Pokemon parts, but rarely ever succeeds
in fooling people to think she’s normal.

solace in books. Whether they’re fantasy or sci-fi, fiction or non-fiction, she
will read and read and not stop until she’s done. Books containing knowledge on
Pokemon are her all time favourite, especially fairy-tales where everything turns

out it was a mistake. She will never answer in more than one word and
so questions that require a full explanation are terrifying for her,

Karma would refuse it anyway. She is a very stubborn in her ways once
she has set her mind on something and will follow it trough until the
end, no matter how many people tell her not to. Karma is rarely ever
told not to though as many people don’t even know what she’s doing in the first place.

Karma likes to sit back and watch. She likes to learn from a
distance and rather see than do. She also takes note of
everything see sees, taking in every little detail and memorising it.

they fascinate her and are less likely to be mean than people.

ïṉτεllïģεṉτ: Karma’s many reading sessions have helped her become
quite a clever person. Whilst she is not a genius at normal things,
she knows everything there is about every Pokemon. Whether it’s
their type, moves, abilities or whatever, Karma knows everything about it.
This allows her to have an even stronger bond with her Pokemon,
even though being part Pokemon herself would have made their friendship better anyway.

midnight black hair that she always tied back to
keep it out of her face. After the experiment, she
still has the same hair, although now it has developed
a dark red colouration on her fringe and end of her hair.
She now also has two grey-black ears on top of her head,
which she has pierced with dark red piercings. The left side
of her fringe is also clipped back with the same colour clips.

come half way up her calves, are grey with a red tip and they fasten with
big buckles all the way up.

Karma was first born under the name Melody Attriva and she was a normal child. She came into a very poor family, already having two other sisters and only a mother as her father had died not that long ago. They were living on the streets of Nimbasa, starving everyday and hoping someone would come along and help them. Someone did come along, but the help he offered came at a price.

He was a very wealthy man, his family of small nobility, and he had a huge liking of the Pokemon Musical. He’d entered Pokemon after Pokemon in the hopes of becoming famous by having the ‘prettiest’ Pokemon on the stage, but again and again his Pokemon had been ranked the least popular and no matter how much money he spent on them, they never came out on top. So, he’d decided to take his competition to the next level. He’d heard of Pokemon DNA splicing, which fused Pokemon DNA with human and created a Pokemon-human hybrid, and was looking for a beautiful young girl to take part in his plans. He believed that if he could fuse the prettiest girl with the prettiest Pokemon, no one would be able to resist her beauty and he would have a sure victory in the bag.
Karma’s family was desperate, so very desperate, and so her mother had no choice but to sell her daughter to the man. No one cared about what she had done because no one knew; Karma’s family was killed by hired men to stop the secret from spreading. Karma herself was beaten into submission until she promised never to reveal the secret of what had happened, which developed her reserved trait and the reluctance to talk.
Being such a wealthy man, he was able to hire the most esteemed scientists to carry out his job and paid them enough money to keep them quiet. The splicing went off without a hitch and soon Karma had the ears, fur and tail of a Zorua, the Pokemon the wealthy man had deemed ‘pretty’ enough to become part of his masterpiece. Karma was still very young at the time, only one year of age, and so grew up with her add-ons like they were always part of her.
Growing up, Karma was never allowed social contact with other children, lest it bring down her self confidence to go on stage if they mocked her. She was forced to stay in her room and given dolls to play with and books to read, although she much preferred the books. She was never allowed Pokemon though, because apparently they were too much of a ‘luxury’ than what was needed to keep her happy. Her first appearance in the Pokemon musical was scheduled for her fourteenth birthday, when the now old man that had stolen her away deemed her ready to perform. She never made it onto the stage though; the man died of an illness before his creation could be seen by the world. With no family, friends or anyone that knew of what he’d done, Karma was free to roam the world wherever she pleased. She changed her name to Karma as she thought it was fitting to what had happened to the old man, seen as he’d done so many horrible things to work for his dream and yet it had never been achieved.
Setting off into the world, Karma had no social skills at all due to her past of not being in contact with any other human being than the old man and so was completely lost with what to do. She could also see people giving her weird looks because of what she looked liked and, never having to have dealt with them before, didn’t know what to do other than feel very insecure. She did have a lot of money to spend, due to the old man being quite wealthy, and so grabbed the first boat she saw to wherever it would take her. It happened to be going to the Sinidad region, which is where she decided to start her adventure, Pokemon finally by her side.
